The atmosphere in the living room was light and cheerful as Jungkook and Taehyung stepped inside. Jungkook was clutching the hem of his beautiful red frock, his cheeks flushed as everyone turned to look at him. The compliments came rushing in, teasing remarks mingled with genuine admiration.
"Wow, Jungkook, you look stunning!" Jin exclaimed, his eyes wide in awe. "I mean, how dare you outshine me in my own house!"
Jungkook's blush deepened as he shyly tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. "Ah, hyung, it's not like that..."
Hoseok, ever the dramatic one, gasped loudly. "Is this our baby bunny? Or did Taehyung kidnap a model on his way home?"
Jungkook's blush deepened as he ducked his head shyly. "S-stop it, hyungs..." he mumbled, fiddling with the edges of his frock.
Yoongi, leaning casually against the wall, smirked. "You're making him blush, idiots. But honestly, Kook, you pull that off better than anyone else could."
Jungkook peeked up at Yoongi, his eyes wide. "R-really?"
"Really," Yoongi said with a soft chuckle, causing Jungkook to beam shyly.
Jimin clapped his hands together, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Look at our little bunny all dressed up! Taehyung, how are you even managing to handle this much cuteness?"
Taehyung stood behind Jungkook with a proud smirk, his chest puffed out. "That's my mate," he declared, wrapping a protective arm around Jungkook's waist, pulling him closer. "Isn't he perfect?"
Jungkook ducked his head, trying to hide his face against Taehyung's chest, mumbling, "Stop it, hyungie! You're embarrassing me..."
The teasing and compliments continued until the room suddenly fell silent. The air shifted, and everyone's attention turned toward the entrance as a tall, confident figure strolled in. His presence commanded attention, exuding an aura of arrogance and charm that made everyone stiffen.
"Kim Jackson," Jin muttered under his breath, his expression instantly souring.
"Who invited him?" Jimin whispered to Hoseok, who simply shrugged, his own distaste evident.
Jungkook, sensing the tension, looked up curiously, his big doe eyes focusing on the man who had entered. Jackson's sharp features softened the moment his gaze landed on Jungkook. His lips curled into a smirk as he took in the sight of the red-frocked boy, standing close to Taehyung.
"Ah, so this is the famous mate everyone's been talking about," Jackson drawled, his voice smooth but dripping with something that set Taehyung on edge.
Jackson's eyes roamed over Jungkook in a way that made the younger feel exposed. He instinctively stepped closer to Taehyung, who immediately tightened his grip around Jungkook's waist, his expression darkening.
"Watch where you're looking, Jackson," Taehyung warned, his voice low and dangerous.
Jackson raised his hands in mock surrender, a sly grin playing on his lips. "Relax, cousin. I'm just admiring the beauty here. You've got yourself quite the catch." His gaze flickered back to Jungkook, who was now practically hiding behind Taehyung.
"Stop staring at him," Namjoon's deep voice cut through the tension, his tone firm and commanding.
Jackson let out a chuckle, clearly enjoying the reactions he was provoking. "Come on now, I'm just being friendly. Aren't you going to introduce us, Taehyung?"
Taehyung's jaw clenched, his possessive instincts flaring. "You don't need to know his name. You've seen enough. Now leave."
Ignoring the sharp dismissal, Jackson took a step closer, his eyes once again locking onto Jungkook's shy figure. "Hello there," he greeted, ignoring the tension in the room. "I'm Kim Jackson, Taehyung's cousin. And you are?"
Jungkook hesitated, glancing nervously at Taehyung, who gave him a subtle nod. "I-I'm Jungkook," he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Well, Jungkook," Jackson said, his tone smooth, "it's a pleasure to meet you. You're even more stunning in person than I imagined."
Jungkook flushed, unsure of how to respond. The room seemed to hold its breath, everyone's dislike for Jackson evident in their expressions.
"Alright, that's enough," Taehyung growled, stepping in front of Jungkook to block Jackson's view. "You've introduced yourself. Now leave."
"But I just got here," Jackson said with a feigned pout. His eyes flicked back to Jungkook, the smirk returning. "I was curious to see who managed to tame the mighty Taehyung. And I must say, I'm impressed."
"You've seen him. Now, get out," Jin snapped, his patience running thin.
Jackson sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. I'll leave." He turned his attention back to Taehyung, his smirk widening. "But don't forget, cousin, not everyone in the pack will be as... accepting of your choice. Just a friendly warning."
Before Taehyung could respond, Yoongi stepped forward, his towering presence intimidating even Jackson. "You've overstayed your welcome. Leave, now."
With a mocking bow, Jackson finally retreated, his smirk never faltering. The moment he was out of sight, the tension in the room dissolved, replaced by a collective sigh of relief.
"Why is he even here?" Jimin muttered, crossing his arms. "That guy gives me the creeps."
"He came to see Taehyung's mate," Hoseok said bitterly, his expression mirroring everyone else's.
Jungkook, still clinging to Taehyung, looked up at him with wide eyes. "W-Who was that, hyung?"
"No one you need to worry about," Taehyung said firmly, his voice still laced with anger. He bent down slightly to press a reassuring kiss to Jungkook's temple. "You're mine, Jungkook. No one will ever touch you. Remember that."
Jungkook nodded, his cheeks turning red at the public display of affection. The others exchanged knowing looks, their dislike for Jackson growing even stronger after witnessing his behavior.
Two days had passed since the shopping date, and life had seemingly returned to normal. Taehyung sat at his luxurious desk in Vantae. The glass walls of his office overlooked the bustling cityscape, but his focus was fixed on the mountain of paperwork and contracts in front of him.
"Sir, the meeting with the marketing team is scheduled in fifteen minutes," his secretary, a sharp-dressed and efficient woman named Naeun, informed him as she handed over a fresh batch of reports.
"Cancel it. Push it to tomorrow," Taehyung said without looking up, his tone calm yet commanding.
Naeun hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Understood, sir. Should I reschedule for the morning or afternoon?"
"Morning. Dismissed."
The secretary left, and Taehyung leaned back in his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose. The day had been relentless, a flurry of meetings, emails, and decisions, leaving him drained. Yet his thoughts kept drifting back to Jungkook, his precious mate. The image of Jungkook in that red frock lingered in his mind, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
Just as he reached for his Tea, a knock sounded on the door.
"Come in," he said curtly.
A junior employee stepped in nervously, holding a bouquet of white roses and an envelope. "Sir, this arrived for you. The delivery man said it was personal."
Taehyung frowned. He wasn't expecting any personal deliveries. "Leave it on the desk," he instructed, his voice sharp.
The employee quickly placed the bouquet and envelope on the desk before retreating. Taehyung's sharp eyes scanned the roses first, their pristine petals oddly out of place in his otherwise minimalist office. His gaze then fell on the envelope, which was sealed with a black wax stamp.
He opened it cautiously, his instincts already on high alert. Inside was a glossy photograph. His breath hitched the moment he saw it—it was Jungkook. The picture had been taken during their date to the mall. Jungkook's shy smile and innocent pose in the red frock were unmistakable.
Beneath the photo was a handwritten letter:
"Your mate is exquisite. A beauty like him shouldn't be wasted on just one alpha. I couldn't help but notice he hasn't been claimed yet—not mated to seal the bond. I wonder if you're waiting for the perfect moment or if you're simply too weak to do it.
I'd love to have a taste of him myself. That flawless skin, that delicate body... How long will it take for him to beg under someone else's touch? If you can't protect him, maybe you don't deserve him.
You know who I am."
Taehyung's hands clenched the paper so tightly it began to crumple. His breathing grew ragged, and his vision blurred with fury. The sound of his chair scraping against the floor echoed as he stood abruptly, the anger radiating off him in waves.
The scent of roses mixed with his rising alpha pheromones, creating a suffocating tension in the room. His wolf, V, growled viciously in his mind, demanding action. "Someone dares threaten our mate?"
Taehyung's fist slammed onto the desk, scattering papers and sending the tea cup crashing to the floor. The sound startled his assistant, Naeun, who peeked her head through the door.
"Sir? Is everything alright?"
"Get out," Taehyung snapped, his tone icy and unyielding.
Naeun nodded and immediately withdrew, not daring to ask questions. Taehyung paced the room, his mind racing. The audacity of someone to not only take Jungkook's photo but to taunt him so boldly, the king—it was unforgivable. His wolf howled for retribution, for blood.
He grabbed his phone and dialed a number. The call was answered almost instantly.
"Hyung," Taehyung's voice was low, dangerous. "I need you to trace the source of a delivery. I don't care how long it takes or what it costs. I want a name."
"Understood," Namjoon replied, his tone equally serious. "Send me the details."
Taehyung ended the call and sent Namjoon a photo of the letter and the flowers. His chest heaved as he tried to calm his racing heart. The thought of anyone laying a hand on Jungkook made his blood boil.
V growled again, louder this time. "Protect him. Show them who he belongs to."
Taehyung ran a hand through his hair, trying to steady himself. He couldn't afford to lose control—not here, not now. He would handle this. Whoever dared to threaten his mate would pay dearly.
After taking a few deep breaths, he made another call.
"Prepare the car," he ordered. "I'm leaving early."
"Yes, sir," came the reply from his driver.
Taehyung grabbed his coat, pocketed the photo and letter, and strode out of his office. His employees scattered as he walked past, sensing the dangerous energy emanating from their usually composed boss.
By the time he reached the car, his mind had settled on one thing: Jungkook, his baby. As the car sped towards home, he clenched his fists, vowing silently to keep his mate safe at all costs.
The sleek black car came to a smooth halt outside the mansion. Taehyung stepped out, his figure radiating an intimidating aura of authority. The day's fury was tucked away, replaced by a calm determination. The moment he stepped through the front doors, the scent of home greeted him—warm, soft, and unmistakably Jungkook.
He found Jungkook curled up on the couch in the living room, surrounded by soft cushions, his nose buried in a book. Dressed in an oversized hoodie and shorts, Jungkook looked impossibly small, his legs tucked beneath him. The sight was enough to ease some of the tension in Taehyung's shoulders.
"Baby," Taehyung called softly, his deep voice resonating through the room.
Jungkook's head shot up, a bright smile lighting up his face as he scrambled to his feet. "Hyungie! You're home early!"
Taehyung's lips quirked into a soft smile. "I missed you."
Jungkook's cheeks turned pink at the words, and he looked down, shyly fidgeting with the hem of his hoodie. "You always say that, hyungie," he mumbled.
"And I always mean it." Taehyung approached him, placing a hand on Jungkook's cheek. The younger leaned into the touch, his wide doe eyes looking up at him with trust and love.
"Did something happen? You look... different," Jungkook asked, tilting his head slightly.
Taehyung chuckled, ruffling Jungkook's hair. "Nothing for you to worry about. I wanted to come home and spend time with you."
Jungkook beamed at that, his excitement bubbling over. "Really? What should we do? Watch a movie? Bake something? Oh! We could play a game!"
Taehyung let out a soft laugh, his thumb brushing against Jungkook's cheek. "Actually, I was thinking we could go out for dinner tonight. Just the two of us."
Jungkook's eyes widened in delight. "A date?"
"A date," Taehyung confirmed, his deep voice carrying a hint of amusement.
Jungkook bounced on his toes, his excitement palpable. "Yes! Yes, yes, yes!" he exclaimed, clapping his hands. Then he paused, his brows furrowing slightly. "Wait, what do I wear? Do I have anything fancy enough?"
Taehyung smirked, reaching into the bag he'd been holding. "I took care of that."
Jungkook's curiosity was piqued as Taehyung handed him a sleek, beautifully wrapped box.
Jungkook stepped into their bedroom, clutching the pink box Taehyung had given him. Setting the box gently on the bed, he opened it fully and gasped softly as the dress shimmered under the light.
It was stunning—a delicate pink dress that glistened like a cascade of tiny stars. The material was soft and flowy, with intricate detailing along the neckline. The straps were thin and delicate, and the hemline was shorter than anything Jungkook had ever worn, just barely brushing his mid-thigh. The neckline dipped slightly, revealing just enough of his chest to make him feel... exposed.
Jungkook bit his lip as he traced his fingers over the fabric. "Hyungie... you really bought this for me?" he whispered to himself. The thought of Taehyung choosing such a revealing dress for him made his cheeks flush a deep red.
He carefully picked it up and held it against himself, standing before the large mirror in their room. "It's so... short," he murmured, tilting his head as he eyed the dress. His reflection showed his shy yet curious expression, the dress already accentuating his delicate features even before he put it on.
"What was Hyungie thinking, buying something like this?" he asked himself, his voice tinged with nervousness. "It's so... revealing. And my thighs will be out... and my chest..."
Despite his hesitation, a small smile crept onto his face. Taehyung had said he would look like an angel in this. And Taehyung never lied to him.
After a moment of deliberation, Jungkook finally decided to try it on. He slipped out of his hoodie and shorts, his movements careful and deliberate. As he pulled the dress over his head and adjusted the straps, the fabric settled perfectly against his skin.
He turned to look in the mirror, and his breath hitched.
The dress fit him like it was made for him. The soft pink material hugged his slender frame in all the right places, the glittering details catching the light and making him seem almost ethereal. But it was undeniably revealing—the short hemline showcased his smooth thighs, and the neckline, though modest compared to some, showed enough of his chest to make him feel self-conscious.
He bit his lip, his hands nervously smoothing down the fabric. "Hyungie really bought this... for me?" he whispered again, his cheeks burning.
The thought of Taehyung's possessive alpha instincts kicked in as Jungkook looked at himself. "He's so protective," he muttered. "And yet he bought me this? Does he really want everyone to see me like this?"
Jungkook frowned slightly, then quickly shook his head. "No... he wouldn't. Hyungie isn't like that. He... he just wants me to feel special."
Taking a deep breath, Jungkook turned in the mirror, examining the way the dress moved with him. Despite his initial nervousness, he couldn't deny that the dress was beautiful. And... if Taehyung loved it, then maybe it wasn't so bad.
Still, his cheeks burned as he imagined walking downstairs in something so bold. He grabbed a loose cardigan to drape over his shoulders, hoping it would make him feel a little less exposed.
With one last look in the mirror, Jungkook whispered, "If Hyungie thinks I look beautiful, then... I trust him."
Gathering his courage, Jungkook stepped out of the room and made his way downstairs, the soft swish of the dress accompanying each step. The thought of Taehyung's reaction made his heart race, but he had no idea what else the night had in store for him.
