30.Balloons, Babies, and Bunny Logic

Jungkook stormed into the living room, his face puffed with frustration as he plopped down dramatically on the couch. Jin, Jimin, and Hoseok were already there, chatting over some snacks. Namjoon was buried in a book, occasionally nodding to the conversation.

"What's with the face, bunny?" Jimin teased, nudging Jungkook's arm.

"It's Taehyung hyung!" Jungkook groaned, throwing his arms up. "I'm perfectly fine now, but he's still treating me like I'll break if I breathe too hard."

The others burst out laughing. Jin smirked. "He's just worried about you, Jungkookie. You scared him pretty bad."

"I get that," Jungkook replied, "but seriously, hyung, he won't even let me walk downstairs without holding my hand. The doctor said, 'Be careful,' but Tae hyung acts like the doctor told him to turn me into a bubble-wrapped burrito!"

"That does sound like Taehyung," Hoseok said, chuckling. "He's probably making up for all the times he didn't notice you sneaking snacks or doing dangerous stunts."

Jungkook huffed. "Yesterday, I sneezed, and he handed me three blankets, hot tea, and told me to rest. Who does that?"

Jimin cackled. "I'd pay to see that. Poor bunny can't even sneeze in peace."

Hoseok chuckled, patting Jungkook's shoulder. "At least he lets you bathe yourself. Imagine if he didn't."

Jungkook turned to Hoseok, his bunny-like eyes wide. "Hyung! Don't give him ideas! Do you know what he does now? He stands right outside the bathroom door while I'm showering. Every single time!"

The room went silent for a second before Jin choked on his tea. "Wait—he stands there?"

"Yup," Jungkook nodded, pouting. "The entire time. And if he hears even the tiniest sound, like me dropping the soap, he freaks out and starts knocking like crazy. 'Bun! Are you okay? Do you need help? Should I come in?'" Jungkook mimicked Taehyung's deep voice, making everyone burst into laughter.

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, smirking. "That's because you haven't mated yet."

Jungkook tilted his head in confusion. "What does mating have to do with anything?"

Jimin laughed, leaning forward. "If you'd marked and mated, believe me, he wouldn't even let you shower alone. You'd have a permanent bathroom buddy."

Jungkook's jaw dropped. "Permanent bathroom buddy? That's a thing?"

"Trust me, it is," Namjoon added with a knowing nod. "Mates can get... clingy after marking."

Hoseok snickered. "But even now, he's this close to crossing that line. Jungkookie, you're living the preview."

Jungkook sighed dramatically, slumping back into the couch. "I just want to breathe! Even when I tell him I'm fine, he's like, 'What if you're not fine? What if something happens?' He won't leave my side!"

Jimin grinned mischievously. "Sounds like someone's whipped."

"I know he loves me," Jungkook admitted with a soft smile, "but how am I supposed to prove I'm okay if he doesn't give me a chance?"

Namjoon finally looked up from his book, pushing his glasses up his nose. "Have you tried talking to him about it? He might not realize he's overdoing it."

Jungkook nodded determinedly. "I will. But if he tries to tuck me into bed one more time, I might scream."

The hyungs laughed, sharing knowing glances. Jin ruffled Jungkook's hair affectionately. "Don't worry, Jungkookie. We'll talk to him."

"Good luck," Jungkook muttered under his breath. "He listens to no one when it comes to me."

--------------------------

Jungkook crossed his arms, cutely glaring at Taehyung, who was sitting by the desk pretending to go over some paperwork. The bunny's pout deepened as he watched his mate diligently avoid eye contact.

"Hyungie," Jungkook started, his voice determined.

Taehyung didn't look up. "Hmm?"

"Hyungie, look at me."

Taehyung sighed and finally met Jungkook's gaze. "What is it, bun?"

"I'm fine now!" Jungkook declared, stomping his foot like a petulant child. "You can stop acting like I'm made of glass."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, leaning back in his chair. "Made of glass? Baby, you almost—" He stopped himself, his voice cracking slightly. "You scared me. I'm not taking any chances."

Jungkook groaned, throwing his hands in the air. "Hyungie, it's been days! The doctor said I'm fine now. I'm eating, sleeping, walking—"

"Walking too much," Taehyung interrupted, narrowing his eyes. "Do you know how many steps you took yesterday? I counted."

Jungkook stared at him, his mouth slightly open. "You... counted my steps?"

"Yes. And it was 565 steps."

Jungkook facepalmed, groaning loudly. "Hyungie, this is exactly what I'm talking about! I'm not sick anymore. I don't need you hovering over me every second."

Taehyung frowned, crossing his arms defensively. "I'm not hovering."

"Not hovering?" Jungkook shot back. "Then why do you keep rearranging my pillows every ten minutes? Why do you insist on cutting my food into tiny little pieces? And why—" Jungkook pointed dramatically, his voice rising, "—why do you carry me to bed when I say I can walk just fine?"

Taehyung blinked, unbothered. "Because you need rest. Walking wastes energy."

Jungkook stomped over to him, leaning down so their faces were inches apart. " TaeHyungie, if you don't stop this, I'm going to lose my mind."

Taehyung sighed heavily, reaching out to cup Jungkook's face. "Bun, you don't understand. What if something happens again? What if you—" He stopped, his voice trembling.

Jungkook's expression softened at the worry in Taehyung's eyes, but he wasn't letting him off the hook just yet. " TaeHyungie, listen to me." He grabbed Taehyung's hands, holding them tightly. "Nothing's going to happen. I'm okay now. You need to trust me."

Taehyung bit his lip, glancing away. "I do trust you. It's everyone else I don't trust."

"Hyungie..." Jungkook whined, dragging the word out. "You can't keep doing this! Do you know how hard it is to even breathe with you around? You don't even let me pour my own water!"

"That's because the jug is heavy," Taehyung muttered.

"IT'S NOT!" Jungkook shouted, throwing his hands in the air.

A knock on the door interrupted them. Namjoon poked his head in, looking amused. "Is everything okay? We can hear Jungkook yelling from the kitchen."

"Tell him to stop treating me like a baby!" Jungkook complained, pointing accusingly at Taehyung.

Taehyung glared at Namjoon. "I'm being reasonable."

Namjoon chuckled, shaking his head. "Tae, you're being a little... overprotective. Maybe let Jungkook do some things on his own?"

Jungkook nodded enthusiastically. "See? Even Joon hyung thinks you're being ridiculous!"

Taehyung sighed deeply, clearly conflicted. He turned back to Jungkook, his gaze softening. "Fine. You can do things... within reason."

Jungkook's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Yes," Taehyung relented, though he still looked hesitant. "But if anything happens, even the tiniest thing—"

"Nothing will happen!" Jungkook interrupted, throwing his arms around Taehyung in a tight hug. "Thank you, hyungie. I love you!"

Taehyung melted immediately, wrapping his arms around Jungkook. "I love you too, bun. But don't push yourself, okay?"

Jungkook grinned, pulling back slightly. "I won't. Now go get some work done and stop hovering."

Taehyung frowned. "I don't hover."

Namjoon coughed loudly from the doorway. "You definitely hover."

Taehyung threw a pillow at him, earning a laugh from both Jungkook and Namjoon.

--------------------------

The next morning, a maid came to the mansion carrying her two-year-old Son, as she couldn't find anyone to babysit. Jungkook's eyes lit up when he saw the child.

"Oh my gosh, she's so cute!" Jungkook exclaimed. "Can I hold him?"

The maid hesitated but melted at Jungkook's pleading expression. "Of course, Luna," she said, handing the child over.

Jungkook sat cross-legged on the living room floor, the two-year-old child  the maids perched in his lap. The toddler giggled uncontrollably as Jungkook wiggled his fingers, making exaggerated bunny-like gestures.

"Look at you, little munchkin," Jungkook cooed, his eyes sparkling with joy. "You're so cute, just like me!"

The maid, standing nearby, chuckled nervously but couldn't resist Jungkook's enthusiasm. "Luna, please don't let him trouble you. He can be a handful sometimes."

"Oh no, no, no," Jungkook said, shaking his head with a grin. "He's an angel. Can I keep him?"

The maid's jaw dropped in shock, but Jungkook quickly laughed. "Just kidding! Well... sort of."

As they played, Jungkook realized the baby was clutching at thin air, trying to grab something nonexistent. He frowned. "Wait... where are his toys?"

The maid hesitated. "Ah... I didn't bring any today. I didn't expect him to play so much."

Jungkook gasped dramatically, covering his mouth. "No toys?!" He looked down at the baby. "Munchkin, we can't have that. Don't worry; Uncle Kookie will fix this!"

He scanned the room, his eyes landing on Yoongi, who was sprawled across the sofa, half-asleep. " Yoonie Hyung! Are there any toys around?"

Yoongi didn't even open his eyes. "Toys? No idea. Check my room. There might be balloons left over from the last celebration or something."

"Balloons!" Jungkook's eyes lit up. "Perfect! Babies love balloons!"

With the excitement of a child himself, Jungkook carefully set the toddler down and bounded up the stairs to Yoongi's room. After a brief search, he found a small packet tucked away in a drawer. He grinned triumphantly, grabbed it, and rushed back downstairs.

"Look, munchkin!" Jungkook waved the packet in the air. "Balloons!"

The baby clapped his hands in excitement, and Jungkook quickly tore open the packet, pulling out one of the "balloons." He frowned slightly, holding it up.

"Huh. Why are these balloons so small? And why are they all individually wrapped?"

He shrugged, determined not to let anything ruin their fun. He unwrapped one, stretched it out, and started blowing.

As luck would have it, that was exactly when Jimin and Jin walked into the room.

"kookie, we're—" Jin froze mid-sentence, his eyes widening in horror. Jimin stopped beside him, his jaw dropping as he pointed.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Jimin practically screamed, startling both Jungkook and the baby.

" Minnie Hyung, you're scaring the munchkin!" Jungkook protested, shielding the baby protectively.

Jin rushed forward, snatching the "balloon" out of Jungkook's hands. "Where did you get this?"

"Yoonie hyung's room," Jungkook replied innocently.

"YOONGI!" Jin shouted, his voice echoing through the mansion.

A groggy Yoongi wandered into the room, rubbing his eyes. "What's with all the noise?"

"Why did Jungkook find this in your room?" Jin demanded, holding up the packet.

Yoongi squinted, his face blank. "A packet of... balloons?"

Jimin smacked his forehead. "Hyung, these are NOT balloons. They're... they're..."

"What are they, then?" Jungkook asked, tilting his head like a confused puppy.

Jimin hesitated, his face turning red. "They're, uh, not for kids! That's all you need to know!"

Jungkook frowned. "But in Earth, balloons come in big packets. Why are these packed one by one? And why are they shaped like this?"

Yoongi, still half-asleep, muttered, "Fancy balloons, I guess."

Jin looked like he wanted to strangle someone. "Yoongi, those are CONDOMS!"

"Condoms?" Jungkook repeated, his face scrunching up in confusion. "What's that?"

The room fell silent. Everyone stared at Jungkook as if he had grown two heads.

"Taehyung," Jimin whispered, turning to Taehyung, who had just entered the room with Namjoon and Hoseok. "You need to have a talk with your mate."

Taehyung's face turned crimson. "What did my bunny do now?"

Jimin pointed dramatically at the scene—Jungkook sitting on the floor, the baby in his lap, and the packet of condoms in his hand.

Taehyung's eyes widened in horror. "Bun!"

Jungkook blinked up at him innocently. "What, hyung? I just wanted balloons for the baby."

"They're NOT BALLOONS!" Taehyung practically roared, grabbing the packet and shoving it into his pocket.

"But why not?" Jungkook asked, genuinely puzzled.

"Tae," Jimin whispered mischievously, "your mate is too innocent for this world."

Taehyung glared at him. "Don't start."

The living room was lively once again, with Jungkook sitting cross-legged on the floor, still playing with the toddler. The baby squealed with joy as Jungkook made bunny-like gestures with his hands, hopping them toward the little one's face.

"Kookie" Jimin teased from the couch, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. "You're really good with kids. But you know, you probably shouldn't get too attached."

Jungkook looked up, frowning slightly. "Why not?"

"Well," Jimin continued, shrugging dramatically, "you don't even know how babies are made, do you?"

The room froze. Jin, who was casually sipping tea, choked, nearly spilling the hot liquid on himself. Namjoon glanced up from his book, his eyes widening in alarm. Taehyung, sitting nearby, immediately tensed, shooting Jimin a warning glare.

"Jimin," Taehyung said slowly, "don't—"

"Oh, come on!" Hoseok interrupted, his grin widening. "Let the kid answer. Do you know, Jungkook-ah?"

Jungkook tilted his head, his big doe eyes full of curiosity. "Of course I do!"

"You do?" Jimin cut in, already smirking. "Then tell us, Kookie."

"Don't you dare," Taehyung growled, his eyes narrowing at Jimin.

"What?" Jimin said innocently. "It's just a question."

Jungkook, completely oblivious to the growing tension, puffed out his chest proudly. "It's simple! When two people love each other, they decide to have a baby."

Everyone immediately went rigid. Jin set his cup down, his fingers twitching nervously. Namjoon shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Taehyung opened his mouth to intervene, but Jungkook continued, unfazed.

"They go to their room," Jungkook said, his voice dropping conspiratorially, "and they get closer..."

Jimin's face lit up with mischievous glee. "Closer? How close?"

Taehyung threw a pillow at Jimin's face. "Shut. Up."

"Don't interrupt him, Taehyung!" Jimin whined, dodging the pillow and gesturing at Jungkook. "Go on, Kookie."

"Yeah," Hoseok chimed in, barely holding back his laughter. "We're learning something here."

Jungkook nodded, taking their reactions as genuine interest. "Okay, so they hold hands—"

A collective sigh of relief washed over the room.

"—and then they kiss."

Everyone stiffened again. Taehyung's hand shot to his forehead, massaging his temples as if he could ward off a headache. "Bun, stop."

But Jungkook wasn't done. He leaned forward, whispering as if sharing a great secret. "Then they pray to God. If God thinks they're good enough, he puts a baby in their tummy."

There was a beat of silence. Then, chaos erupted.

Jimin fell off the couch, laughing so hard he had tears streaming down his face. Jin clutched his chest, wheezing. Namjoon slapped his forehead, muttering something about needing stronger coffee. Hoseok rolled onto his back, kicking his legs in the air as he howled with laughter.

"Stop laughing!" Taehyung barked, his face bright red. "He's innocent!"

Jungkook looked around, confused. "What? Did I say something wrong?"

"No, no, Kookie," Jimin choked out between laughs. "You're... you're perfect."

The maid walked back into the room just then, looking puzzled at the scene. "Um, excuse me, Luna? I need to take my son now."

Jungkook handed the baby back reluctantly, pouting. "But we were having so much fun!"

As the maid bowed and left, Jimin turned to Jungkook, his eyes still gleaming with mischief. "Kookie, you really love babies, huh?"

"Of course!" Jungkook said, his face lighting up. "They're so cute and tiny!"

Hoseok leaned forward, his eyes gleaming. "You mean babies don't come from under a bridge?"

"Hyung," Jungkook said, rolling his eyes. "That's ridiculous."

"Not as ridiculous as your version," Jin muttered under his breath, earning a glare from Taehyung.

"Hyung, it's not funny!" Taehyung snapped.

"But it is," Namjoon said, chuckling softly.

Jungkook crossed his arms, looking frustrated. "Why is everyone laughing? That's how it works, isn't it?"

Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug, his voice soft. "Yes, bunny. That's exactly how it works."

The others exchanged amused looks as Jungkook beamed, clearly satisfied with himself.

"Tae," Jimin whispered to Taehyung, "you better teach him the truth before someone else does."

"I will," Taehyung growled, glaring at Jimin. "And you are never babysitting my mate again."

Jungkook, nestled in Taehyung's arms, looked around the room with a happy, innocent smile. "Hyungs, you're all so weird sometimes."
